KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Dee Ayuba had 20 points and a career-high seven assists in leading Missouri-Kansas City. The victory broke a three-game losing streak for the Kangaroos (5-11), while the Cougars (5-14) lost their fifth straight.

Chicago State was led by Michael Henderson with 21 points and 11 rebounds. John Cantrell had 16 points and David Holston and Royce Parran added 15 each for the Cougars.

TULSA, Okla. -- Caleb Green scored 13 of his team-high 22 points in the first half to spark Oral Roberts past Western Illinois in the Mid-Continent Conference opener for both teams.

Green was 8-for-13 from the field and 6-for-8 on free throws for ORU (8-7, 1-0). Sammy Hunter scored 14 points to lead the Leathernecks (4-10, 0-1), who have lost nine of their last 11 games.
