WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Southern Utah will enter the Mid-Con tournament as the seventh seed after a regular-season ending 65-47 loss to the Valparaiso Crusaders on Monday. The loss leaves the Thunderbirds with a 5-9 record in the conference and a 9-19 record overall. Valparaiso finishes the year with a 19-10 overall mark and an 11-3 conference total and a second seed in the tournament. The two teams will meet on Sunday in the first round of the tournament. Tipoff is at 2:30 p.m.
