WIU had already clinched the #1 seed.

With their victory over CSU, IUPUI wins the #2 seed outright.

ORU beats Valpo to get the #3 seed.

Valpo remains alone at 9-7 and gets the 4 seed.

OU and UMKC are tied at 8-8. They split with each other, they both split with WIU, they both were swept by IUPUI, they both split with ORU, they both split with Valpo, but UMKC swept SUU, while OU split, so UMKC would get the 5 seed, and OU gets the 6 seed.

CSU gets the 7 seed outright with the only 7-9 record.

SUU gets the 8 seed outright with the only 4-12 record.

So, here are the pairings

Game 1 - Saturday, 12:00 pm: #1 Western Illinois vs. #8 Southern Utah
Game 2 - Saturday,  2:30 pm: #2 IUPUI            vs. #7 Chicago State
Game 3 - Sunday,   12:00 pm: #4 Valparaiso       vs. #5 UMKC
Game 4 - Sunday,    2:30 pm: #3 ORU              vs. #6 Oakland

Game 5 - Monday,   12:00 pm: Game 1 winner vs. Game 3 winner
Game 6 - Monday,    2:30 pm: Game 2 winner vs. Game 4 winner

Game 7 - Tuesday,  12:30 pm: Game 5 winner vs. Game 6 winner

Both IUPUI teams have the 2 seed. Both Valpo teams have the 4 seed.

Game 4 Sunday afternoon promises to be an outstanding game. OU got a buzzer-beater win at the Mabee Center, and ORU returned the favor the following week at the O'Rena. Both games were nail-biters.

Did You Know...

For the 4th straight year, Western Illinois has the #1 seed, but they have yet to make it to the final game in the past 3 years. In 2003, they lost to Valpo. In 2004, they lost to ORU in overtime. Last year, they lost to ORU again.

Prior to this year, the highest seed IUPUI ever got was the 5 seed in 2001, and that was the only tourney win they've ever gotten, beating 4 seed Southern Utah 58-53, before losing to 1 seed Oakland 80-73. This year is also the first year they finished the season with a winning record in conference.
