At Cedar City, Utah, Tate Sorensen scored 15 points, leading the Thunderbirds over the Gents.

Geoff Payne scored 13 points and had 11 assists for the Thunderbirds (5-14, 3-5 Summit), while Rick Roberts and Davis Baker scored 12 points each and Orlando Griego added 10.

Southern Utah shot 53 percent from the field and outrebounded the Gentlemen 35-26.

Former BTW standout Tyrone Hamilton led Centenary (9-11, 3-5) with 29 points, including a 6-for-12 performance from 3-point range. Nick Stallings scored 21 points for the Gents, and Lance Hill had 14.

After a three-point play midway through the second half, Hamilton hit four straight 3-pointers to bring Centenary back from a 67-57 deficit.

The last one of those gave the Gents a 69-67 lead with 9:19 to play.

Hamilton hit another 3-pointer with 4:05 to go, tying the game 75-75, but Roberts responded with a layup to give the Thunderbirds the lead with 2:18 left.
