Western Illinois men

Macomb -Sophomore David Nurse scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Western Illinois to a 83-67 victory over North Dakota State at Western Hall.

David Jackson added 20 points and had four assists and Jerryck Owens-Murrey had 14 points, including six rebounds, for the Leathernecks (8-8, 3-2).

Western led 35-32 at the half in a game that featured six lead changes. WIU shot 56 percent from the field compared with North Dakota State's (8-9, 2-4) 44 percent.

Western Illinois women

Macomb - Richwoods grad Stephanie Lovingood scored a season-high 20 points to propel the Westerwinds to a 72-67 win over North Dakota State.

Lovingood was 10-for-13 from the field as three other players were in double-figures.

WIU (6-9) is now 4-0 in The Summit League, good enough for first-place.
