PITTSBURGH (AP) — Johnathon Jones hit a rallyending 3-pointer with 4 1 /2 minutes remaining while scoring 13 of his 15 points in the second half and Oakland beat Northeastern 67-52 Saturday in a roundrobin game of the Colonial Athletic Association Classic.
Shawn Hopes scored 17 points, Erik Kangas had 11 and Patrick McCloskey came off the bench to get a game-high 11 rebounds for the Golden Grizzlies (3-1). Northeastern (0-3) remained winless despite Bennet Davis’ 21 points and Bobby Kelly’s 18.
