And How 'Bout™ those Badlands newcomers? Uh, not South Dakota State (7-14, 2-8)... that's a team that's struggling like a newbie should. I'm talking about Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne and North Dakota State, both of which are 5-5 in their new league. IPFW beat SD State by ten the other night.

How 'Bout™ IUPUI? Though they lost in the big battle of Badlands Conference titans a couple weeks ago to Oral Roberts, the Jaguars aren't just a bunch of shoeless also-rans. Witness their 88-66 home beatdown of Southern Utah, which included 19 made triples. Eleven of those were contributed by Gary Patterson (37 points), who owns one of the sweetest 3-stroke engines we've seen all year. Though IUPUI (16-5, 8-2) is two games back in the loss column to ORU, the Jags do have two more overall wins, if that means anything.

The teams: Centenary has lost seven straight in a string that started with a 77-57 loss to Oral Roberts.

Former Bishop Kelley player Anne Farrell has stepped into the leading-scorer role for Centenary with the absence of Cierra Bush (knee injury). The 6-foot-2 Farrell is averaging 10.5 points per game. Bethany Joseph was 5-for-9 from 3-point range for a team-high 19 points in the first meeting with ORU.

The Golden Eagles snapped a three-game losing streak with a 67-63 victory at Missouri-Kansas City on Monday. But injuries have taken a toll on the conference preseason favorites.

Junior forward Jenny Hardin will miss Saturday's game in an effort to give her injured foot time to rest and heal.

The Golden Eagles will need to find replacement numbers for Hardin, who scored 21 in the first meeting.

Mariana Camargo recorded 19 in the first meeting.

Notable: ORU leads the Summit League in turnover margin at + 4.67. The Golden Eagles are averaging 15.2 turnovers per game and forcing 19.9.
