At Cedar City, Southern Utah went shot-for-shot with North Dakota State over the first 10 minutes of the game, but the Bison stayed hot and shot 54 percent from the floor en route to an 87-62 win. The loss drops SUU to 6-18, 4-9 in conference, snapping a three-game win streak.

macomb - Richwoods graduate Stephanie Lovingood led the Westerwinds with 19 points, 14 rebounds and four assists in a 67-43 win over Centenary.

Amanda Walker added 13 points for Western, which improved to 11-13 and 9-4 in the Summit League.

The Westerwinds trailed by five early in the game, but then led by as many as 24 midway through the second half.

Western Illinois men

MACOMB - The Leathernecks ended a three-game losing streak with a 68-67 decision over visiting Centenary, handing the Gents their seventh straight loss.

Centenary pulled to within a point with a trey at 1:19, but Western then secured the win with two defensive stops.

David Jackson had 12 points and 10 boards for Western (12-14, 7-8), while David DuBois added 17 points.

WESTERN ILLINOIS 68, CENTENARY 67: At Macomb, Ill., a late Gents rally from a six-point halftime deficit came up short as the Leathernecks grabbed a Summit League victory.

Nick Stallings led four Gents (9-17, 3-11) in double figures with a game-high 20 points. Former BTW standout Tyrone Hamilton added 15 while Lance Hill and Jamere King each had 11 points.

David DuBois paced the Leathernecks with 17 points while WIU (12-14, 7-7) also received double-figure scoring efforts from David Jackson (12 points) and Chris Gonzalez (10).

WESTERN ILLINOIS 67, CENTENARY 43: At Macomb, Ill., Stephanie Lovingood scored 19 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the Western Illinois Westerwinds to a 67-43 Sumnmit League women's basketball victory over the Centenary Ladies.

Anne Farrell led Centenary (3-20, 0-13) with 13 points and Karolina Zaloga added 10.

It was Western Illinois' second victory over Centenary this season. The Westerwinds won 78-48 at the Gold Dome on Jan. 19. Western Illinois (12-13, 10-4) is second in he Summit League standings.

Centenary stayed close early. Former Loyola star Ashley Jackson's 3-point play tied the game at 18 with 4:30 left in the first half. But the Westerwinds ended the half with a 10-1 run.

The Ladies shot 32 percent (18 of 56) for the game.
