MACOMB - Gina Hugelier scored 19 and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Western Illinois women to a 56-46 victory against the University of Missouri-Kansas City at Waste Management Court at Western Hall.
Hugelier made six of seven free throws in the final 52 seconds to secure the Summit League win for the Westerwinds (11-11, 9-2).
WIU wrapped up its longest homestand of the season by outscoring the visiting Kangaroos 11-3 in the final 2:05.
Western (11-11, 9-2) also received 11 points from Katy Davenport and 10 more from Richwoods graduate Stephanie Lovingood.
