CENTENARY: The Ladies (2-6) open Summit League against North Dakota State (2-4. 0-0) at 3 p.m. today in the Gold Dome.

Centenary is coming off two tough losses — 78-71 to Louisiana-Lafayette and 81-79 in double overtime to McNeese State. Three of Centenary's last four games have been decided by two points or less.

Freshman Anne Farrell led the Ladies against McNeese with 25 points and 13 rebounds, and Karolina Zaloga had 20 points and 10 assists.

Men's college basketball roundup: Centenary aims for fourth straight win--The Shreveport Times

CENTENARY: Centenary will continue Summit League play at 5:30 p.m. today against North Dakota State in the Gold Dome. The Gents will be looking for their fourth straight victory.

Centenary (6-3, 1-0 Summit) is coming off an 80-77 victory over newcomer South Dakota State in its conference opener in the Gold Dome on Thursday. Lance Hill led the Gents against North Dakota State with 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Former BTW star Tyrone Hamilton leads Centenary in scoring at 18.6 points per game.

n Centenary moved into the top 100 in both the CollegeRPI.com (93) and the KenPom.com (85) College Basketball Ratings Percentage Indexes (RPI) this week. The Gents are the highest rated Summit League team in both polls.

Centenary's wins over Texas Tech and SMU have helped the Gents, especially since wins over their opponents put Centenary in a better position as well. Texas Tech defeated highly-touted Gonzaga earlier in the season and SMU bounced back to beat TCU. The Gents (6-3) three losses are to two Big 12 schools in Baylor and Iowa State and UALR, who is currently 6-1 on the season.

"To have a high RPI says a lot about the toughness of our schedule and that we are getting some tough non-conference quality wins," said Centenary head coach Rob Flaska.
