Cincinnati holds a 3-0 lead in the all-time series. The two teams last met on Nov. 24, 2003 when the Bearcats picked up an 89-60 win. ... Saturday’s loss marked the first time OU let an opponent pass the 70-point plateau. ... Cincinnati returns just one starter from last season’s 21-13 team. Overview: The Golden Grizzlies are looking to rebound after a 69-57 loss at Central Michigan. Senior Nicole Piggott led the way with 24 points in the losing effort. ... This will mark OU’s third straight game against a Mid-American Conference foe. ... OU will wrap up a five-game extended road trip. ... OU gets a chance to return home on Saturday. The Grizzlies are 1-3 so far since leaving the comforts of home. ... Bowling Green’s lone loss has been an 85-81 overtime decision against Notre Dame. ... Piggott (16.8), Hanna Reising (14.2) and Jessica Pike (13.4) are OU’s current double-digit scoring leaders. ... Bowling Green currently has four players with double-digit scoring averages. ... OU is 1-2 all time against Bowling Green since joining Division I. Strangely enough, the road team has been victorious in each of the three previous meetings.

Piggott wins Mid-Con Player of the Week--The Oakland Press

Oakland senior Nicole Piggott (Pewamo, Mich.) became the second consecutive Golden Grizzly to be named the Mid-Continent Conference’s women’s basketball Player of the Week.
Piggott averaged 21.5 points and 6.0 rebounds in a 1-1 week for Oakland. She recorded 19 points and six rebounds to help lead OU to a 68-62 upset at Eastern Michigan last Wednesday. The 5’11” forward followed that performance with 24 points and six rebounds in a 69-57 loss at Central Michigan Sunday.
Piggott currently leads the Golden Grizzlies in scoring (16.8 points per game) and rebounding (7.0 average). She is among the league leaders in several categories, including scoring (second), rebounding (fourth) and assists, averaging 3.20 (sixth).
This is the fifth time in Piggott’s career she has been tabbed player of the week. Piggott follows freshman Hanna Reising as the second straight OU player to win.
